Course Overview
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a 3-year diploma course designed to prepare general nurses to function as members of the health team in both hospitals and community health environments.
The curriculum focuses on teaching students how to provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from various illnesses, assist doctors in complex medical procedures, and handle emergencies with precision and clinical competence.
Students are thoroughly trained in core medical disciplines, including Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Behavioral Sciences, Community Health Nursing, Mental Health, and Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing.

| Alternative Paths | Registered ANM candidates with 10+2 pass certificates are also highly eligible. |
| Other Rules | Student must be a permanent resident/native of Odisha and medically fit. |
Career Scope & Prospects
Upon successfully completing the GNM course, candidates register as verified RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) specialists.
